Assessments
The NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate course consists of two assessments:
- FSC1 โ An online, open book examination which candidates have 24 hours to complete.
- FSC2 โ A practical fire risk assessment which candidates are required to complete in their workplace, using frameworks and standards, such as the Home Office fire guidance and PAS79-1:2020.

Pass marks
You must pass both assessments to achieve your NEBOSH Fire Management Certificate.
FSC1 is graded and you must achieve at least 45 marks to pass, while FSC2 is marked with a pass or fail.
Your overall qualification grade will be awarded to you based on your numerical result from FSC1:
- Distinction: 75 marks +
- Credit: 65 – 74 marks
- Pass: 45 – 64 marks
